This is an album of ideas. Sometimes it glides between them; sometimes it leaps. One thing remains constant, however – the urge to explore.
Citing influence from the likes of Brian Eno, Vangelis, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Max Richter and Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross, Drone Alone is an album of longform ambient instrumentals intended for contemplation whether as background listening or more intense focus.
This isn’t the usual best ambient releases of 2018 or the year end review of electronic music’s greatest hits or whatever but rather a few emerging artists who have got in touch to me directly with new material that I would like to pass back on to you.
The plan was to create a sort of haunting, hypnotic drone with reverb soaked violins and piano. Check out the music video of the results here!
